Dr. Stacy Carlin

Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Carlin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 2008. With the focus on pregnancy and babies in the office, Dr. Carlin is Webster certified and pediatric Certified from the Academy of Family Practice and Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP). This certification required over 200 hours of study in pediatric care, two research modules and a comprehensive exam. This certification allows Dr. Carlin to specialize in conditions like sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorders, AD/HD, seizure disorders and more!

As a member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, the Greater Cedar Valley Chamber and Alliance, The Optimist Club of Waterloo, and the Downtown Waterloo Rotary. Dr. Carlin is an advocate for the chiropractic health of all ages, both locally and internationally. Dr. Carlin was part of a clinic abroad trip in 2007 to Fiji, taking supplies like toothbrushes, soap, clothes and school supplies to areas ravaged by flooding. The group of chiropractors provided care to over 2,000 school children and citizens in their two week trip.

Originally from northwest Iowa, Dr. Stacy Carlin and her husband Patrick moved to the Cedar Valley and opened Family Health Chiropractic, PC in 2008. The Carlins have a 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter, and they enjoy spending time visiting family, traveling, going to seminars in their respective fields of interest, watching their children learn, and supporting UNI athletics!

Dr. Amanda Hussman

Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Hussman is a graduate from Northwestern College in Orange City, majoring in biology health professions with a concentration in neuroscience and minoring in psychology. Before graduating, Dr. Hussman assisted Dr. William Reed at the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research for a summer internship collecting data on the impacts of chiropractic adjustments on the thalamus of the brain. She attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2014 and graduated in early 2017, enjoying her pediatric patients and caring for people with an array of conditions and backgrounds.

An Iowa native, Dr. Hussman has been actively involved in her community. She enjoys volunteering her time and talents to serving others. Her favorite activity has been participating in community bands, and providing music ministry for her local church and nursing homes throughout the years.

As a new member of the Iowa Chiropractic Society, Dr. Hussman is eager to get involved with supporting her fellow chiropractors in the state. She is excited to serve you and your family at Family Health Chiropractic!

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time drawing, crafting, photography, table top gaming, and being involved in her local church’s activities.
